As a reminder, the Design Hotels are unique one-of-a-kind properties in the Marriott portfolio that also come with some tradeoffs for Bonvoy members. I summarized those yesterday in case you missed it.

Top 25 Design Hotels Cash Deals

The average cash price for Design Hotels is $314/night. This is similar to Autograph Hotels at $331/night and 37% less than the Marriott Luxury average of $502/night.

As you can see in the visual below, the best cash discount I found was 62% savings, while the average across all properties was 44%. Remember, if you see a deal you like, book now because rates change frequently, and you can always cancel for free!

Coastal Hotels

The 4.9-star Giardino Ascona is a luxury resort in the Italian-speaking region of Switzerland. The property is a renowned wellness retreat, with beautiful Mediterranean-style gardens, spacious rooms, a Michelin 2-star restaurant, and exceptional levels of service. Not surprisingly. the average price is $756/night - however, in February 2025 you can book for $382/night - a 50% discount.

The 4.7-star Hospes Maricel & Spa on the Spanish island of Mallorca has fantastic rates in January and February 2025. Averaging $407/night, you can book for just $156/night - a 62% discount. This hotel promises to help you unwind with rejuvenating spa treatments and breathtaking sunset views from the hotel’s cliffside location.

The 4.9-star Tanneries Hotel & Spa is a stunning minimalist boutique hotel near Chania on the Greek island of Crete. All 20 luxury suites overlook the Mediterranean Sea and the property is exceptionally designed with natural materials and clean lines. The average price is $328/night, but in November, you can book for as low as $190/night, a 42% savings! If you’re drawn to minimalist architecture and coastal settings, this property is worth a close look.

The 4.8-star Minos Beach Art Hotel is another captivating Greek property on the idyllic shores of Crete. The hotel reminds me of the Olea All Suite Hotel that I profiled yesterday. It boasts 125 bungalows, villas, and suites, many of which are waterfront, farm-to-table dining, a sculpture garden, two private beaches, and what looks like an unforgettable experience! The average rate is $337/night but you can book for $259/night in April, a 23% savings. This hotel is in high demand, so book now if you’re interested.

The 4.7-star Noūs on the Greek island of Santorini offers an oasis of calm with yoga, private pools, a naturalist garden, and minimalist design throughout. Averaging $507/night, you can book May for $304/night and October for $338/night. That’s a 40% savings!

The 4.7-star Myconian Avaton on the Greek island of Mykonos is another stunning property. Overlooking Mykonos’ longest beach and with sweeping panoramic views of the Aegean Sea, this boutique hotel averages $472/night. However, in May you can book for $243/night, a 49% discount!

Urban Hotels

The 4.8-star Hôtel de Tourrel offers an intimate and exclusive retreat nestled in the heart of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, one of France’s most enchanting regions. With only 7 suites, the hotel is housed in a beautifully restored 17th-century mansion with a mid-century modern aesthetic, a rooftop terrace with panoramic views, and a highly-regarded gourmet restaurant. This property is sold out much of the year so deals are rare. Averaging $425/night, you can book for $322/night in November, a 24% savings!

The 4.8-star Dwell Hotel in Chattanooga, Tennessee is the only USA-based Design Hotel to make my top 25 list. This adults-only property is available for $185/night in April, a 32% savings from the average $272/night. Dive into retro-chic vibes, live music, and Southern hospitality at this urban gem - special shout out to the flamingo wallpaper!

Off the Beaten Path

The 4.6-star Cōmodo in the Austrian Alps is an enchanting retreat that will appeal to lovers of mid-century modern design. Fun fact: this hotel inspired the Grand Budapest Hotel backdrop and has a prestigious history as a former royal retreat. Averaging $228/night, you can book for as low as $139/night this month - or $146/night in October - a 39% savings.

The 4.6-star Hospes Palacio de San Esteban in Salamanca, Spain is a true one-of-a-kind experience. Housed in an immaculately restored convent built in the 16th century, this hotel is centrally located in Salamanca’s Old City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Averaging $175/night, you can book for only $104/night in January and February 2025.
