Spotlight Greece: Top 10 Best Hotels for Points (Feb 2024)

In this country spotlight, I’m focusing on the beautiful country of Greece. Why Greece? In my recent post, Top 50 Countries with Best Rated Marriott Hotels, Greece ranked #3 out of 50! Greece has an average 4.58-star guest rating across its 20 Marriott hotels.

So let’s dive in!

Greece has 20 Marriott Hotels with an average guest rating of 4.58 stars. The map below helps you visualize the top 10 luxury properties and their ratings.

The hotels are nicely distributed across Greece, with one in Thessaloniki to the north, three in Athens, 3 in Crete, and the others in the smaller islands.

When are the best times to book these top 10 hotels?

As you can see in the visual below, there are some fantastic deals throughout the year. The key is when you book!

Of the top 10, the highest-rated MonAsty in Thessaloniki takes the prize with 4.8 stars across 129 reviews. Though the hotel is fairly new, it’s been immensely popular and difficult to book for points. As you can see in the visual above, you can book it for 37,000 points in August if you act fast.

The stunning at the 4.7-star Domes Of Elounda on Crete is one of the best deals in my research. This property can cost as much as 122,500 points in the summer. However, if you book for April, October, or November, you can get it for just 70,000 - a 43% discount!

I’d be remiss to post about the top 10 hotels in Greece and not feature at least one in Athens. The best deal as of this writing is the 4.7-star Hotel Grande Bretagne, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Athens. Often requiring 80,000 points per night in peak summer season, you can stay for less than 60,000 if you book in January or February - a smashing 42% discount.

Lastly, there’s an exciting W Hotels property that will reopen in May 2024. The 4.5-star W Costa Navarino will reopen in May. In the peak European travel month of August, a night at the W Costa Navarino will cost you 110,500 points. However, if you book for May or October, you can get it for 73,000 or less. That’s a 35% discount!
